Sorry , but at this moment I have a lot of problems (including finance ones) thats why I unable to buy one card for tests. I hope everything will be okay in next two months, so I will be able to buy at least X2600[/quote]
got a sapphire 2600xt gddr4, cant do anything with it, do u wanna tweak it for me, happy to mail it to u, an save u the cash of buyin 1, though i am then stuck with an old x300, managed to run bioshock maxxed ok, bf2 maxxed no aa ok. though bf2 has black/blank texture maps (or summat) with ai disabled, even ati's own lava caves util has black holes texture problem even with ccc ai enabled. this is one weird card. all overclock utils bsod pc when i tweak any clock setting. as a moderator u got access to my email im sure, email me and i will send u card before i destroy my house bangin my head against the walls. could maybe run a remote desktop for ya as a good friend an IT engineer an he will set it up for a i am sure this card can easily do more than the 4800 approx 3do6 score when overclocked in ccc. that all i got out of it as yet. or the 7258 score in att tool v1.3.6.1042 thanks for a wicked util, though i dont understand the half of it.

Hi Ray and sorry for my last posted question...
I've another question about ATT: I'm using on both my computers the S-video output. The first computer (equipped with a 9700pro by Hercules) is connected to an Acer PD113-P VideoProjector and all works fine but: the screen vertical size is uncorrect. The last week I've tried the same with my second computer (with a Sapphire HD 2600XT): I've connected it to my Sony KV-E2521A with the same results.
Actual size (similar to 5:3 ?!?):
---------------
|....................|
|....................|
|....................|
---------------
Correct size (should to be 4:3):
---------------
|....................|
|....................|
|....................|
|....................|
---------------
I've tried to use the ATT TV Properties tab to correct and to strech the vertical size to fullscreen but ATT don't works: when I push the "vertical size" buttons, nothing happens. If I push "overscan" or "video mode (for low resolutions)", when I go to "Apply" nothing happens. If I try to change any of the "Advanced" options, when I select "Apply" all the changes go back to old values.
Do you can tell me where I'm falling? Do you should to add the "automatic settings" option present on the Ati CCC? It works fine.
I've installed the Catalyst 7.8 with the Ati 9700pro and the 7.10 with the 2600XT. I've tried to resize the screen with the Ati CCC and all works fine, but I can't waste 125Mb of HDD space for this. When I uninstall the CCC, the screen size goes back to the bad proportions.

Holly scrap. How much times should I write it? No support for X2xxx! ATT has no full support for TV out and Display properties even for old video boards. So please stop to write me about it. Main purpose of ATT is to operate with 3D settings and with overclocking.

Is it possible to make a temporary fix, where the program disables overclocking on install when an HD2xxx series card is installed? This would be helpful for less adept users, and even though there's no overclocking, there's the ability to create game profiles which I missed so much from ATT.

How about editing the first post, if not with a changelog, then atleast with the current version number?
I got a 2900XT, going to try the new version. A question: Does everything non-hardware-related, specifically all the advanced tweaks, work safely on a 2900XT?

Sorry, Ray, but I don't know all your "laws" (sorry for my poor english). I've followed your suggestion and now ATT without OC works fine on my 2600XT: the problem is that the TV-output of my two radeon cards appears crushed (pressed) and I need for a software that can modify the TV-output to a right 4:3 aspect ratio. I've believed that your software can make this, I don't know if TV-output is related to rv6xx or not. Do you can suggest me the right software to stretch the height of my TV-output?

|
No "laws" in my posts I just wrote that ATT doesn't support X2xxx and has bad support for TV Out and Display properties. Because
1. This is not main purpose of ATT
2. I have no information about how to do all those things with TV and Displays
3. I don't have a lot of hardware to check all of them and add support.

Catalyst Control Center.
|
Yes, Catalyst CC works fine with 4:3 output but requires 130mb of HDD space and it has a problem in the theater mode management
I've read around the web that this problem is common to all the latest Catalyst releases. Do you think in the future to find the time to improve the TV-Output commands?

Eheheh... My same POST... Our HD2x00 boards are not supported, you MUST disable the Overclocking features to make it working.

He said he 'might' have fixed it in the current version and someone should try it, well i tried, no reason to exploit that
I just reckoned it worth mentioning because once i had a beta version of ATT installed on this PC and it worked (well overclocking obviously did not)

Hi Ray.
In the last few beta versions of ATT, program installs fine, runs fine,
but when i restart windows, it shows an error:
"atitray.exe - Unable To Locate Component
This application has failed to start because raphook.dll was not found.Re-nstalling the application may fix this problem."
When i install the leatest official version, this problem does not exist.
p.s.I use WinXP x64 SP2

Hi Ray,
Tried the newly updated version. It's the same error message again about retrieving BIOS information. Just might let you know retrive is 'retrieve'.
Is there a way a switch for writting the programs status to an output file like log.txt? I think it would better help us users communicate our technical difficulties in a format which is useful to you.

Success. ATT now works without the ini modification. Overdrive is disabled. Overclocking displays the cards 2d clocks but is unable to detect the current clocks on both mem and GPU. The sliders default to a minimum value of 411mhz on both GPU and mem. Bench and 3d renderer work fine.
Can't wait for more progress, like voltage control and overdrive, excellent work .
I'm not sure if it helps, but AMD released some specs for two video cards. The HD2600 and the Mobility X1600. http://www.x.org/docs/AMD/ . I'm not sure if it's the registers you want or not.

Not sure if it is a problem since the last beta (1067) but I canīt set FAN settings anymore. For example if I set at 50°C a fan speed of 25% and press apply then for a second the settings stay but suddenly it changes all to 100%.
As I said I am not sure if itīs the 7.10 (original and Omega tested) or Tray Tools but this is driving me nuts. All worked fine a few days ago. Uninstalled Tray Tools a few times with registry cleaning and same problem happens.
If "System Information" is needed I will post them but the card is a Sapphire X1950 XT 256MB.

If you don't mind, i'm going to answer myself here.
ATT does _not_ work safely with an HD2900XT when you're only using driver setting profiles and advanced tweaks. In fact i seem to always get ati3duag.dll BSODs when i attempt to load driver setting profiles.
EDIT:
Oh, uh, well scratch that. I found it odd these crashes occured extremely often lately, the only thing new was that i had updated Nod32 from V2 to V3. Well i added mentioned ati3duag.dll to the exclusion list and now it seems to work .. again.

Not strictly on the topic, and I know this is not responsible of ATT nor Ray, but...
I'm scared reading that Omega is going to remove old style CP ( http://www.driverheaven.net/1096941-post55.html ). If it was removed and ATT remain being not able to handle DVI configurations, I'll be forced to use that awful CCC.NET! Oops...

Hey Ray...
Just out of curiosity, what exactly do you need to begin implementing full HD series support for ATT? Do you just need any old HD2xxx series card? I ask because something like a 2600Pro or XT really costs next to nothing here, and if you really need one, I don't forsee any problems just sending you one...
