Talking quake 4 multiplayer cheats - 05-05-2007, 15:12 | posts: 179 | Location: newcastle upon-tyne UK | User is Offline

a lot of people on quake 4 multiplayer are accusing players of using something called a aimbot cheat, which allows players 2 shoot people when they"re not on target? is there any truth 2 this? i have spectated a few players who have been accused of this and i am not sure of wot ive seen? can any 1 shed any light on this please?

Yes unfortunately wherever there is a multiplayer game your sure to find the cheaters. An aimbot is something that automatically targets the opposing players, usually in the head. A telltale sign of an aimbot is the user instantly targets their opponents when they enter his field of view, be it from the front/side/back he will do a 180 spin and headshot them almost instantly..
Sigh* cheaters are the cancer of the gaming community.

cheaters, cheaters, cheaters.... even with punkbuster on, there are bound to be cheaters.

I remember that one time i was playing FEAR: Combat on a certain server. I was always on top for each and every round, until one point where the majority of players shifted to one team. After that, even if i hit them with 2 grenades directly, or fired off 5 particle beams at them, not one of them died.

Yeah whenever i play FEAR online or UT2K4 there are people who usually cheat a lot and can be found on most popular servers.

Still i do not get the point of them cheating.......i mean they want more frags or to learn how to play properly. Also why are they cheating anyway......its not like they play for money or anything.

sigh...yeah cheaters are the worst pair of people that are within the gaming community.

The problem with cheaters is there is never an admin on when the cheater is present

cheaters really are pathetic,im mean wtf?wheres the challenge of cheating?hmmm i bet everytime they get fragged they either break something in the house, throw their mouse threw a window,or throw their keyboard through the t.v,etc... now the sissy punks have to use aimbots cuzzz they broke everything, and if they got fragged again they probably would kill themselves for being such a pathetic sissy punk cheater.lol lol

Far Cry servers are rife with hackers..... I've seen the hack in action too on my friends rig. He tried them out 'cos he was getting so mad @ the servers being full of hackers. The hacks basically let you see everyone on the map wherever they are, every weapon has ultra zoom and no recoil , and aimbot is just ridiculous..!! ...using these hacks is not playing the game at all... it's more like ego therapy or something... ..and punkbuster doesn't catch them all by any means..

thanx for all the input guys, now i seem to be doing alot of spectating coz i dont trust any 1 now ha ha. im so sceptical of some of the really good players i dont know if there good or not? ive watched a few good players and ones where i thought they have improved dramatically since i last saw them and they sometimes miss. does aimbot miss sometimes???

I've seen them in battlefield 2 and Halo a lot lately. Especially BF2....Aimbots really really suck.

I play alot of online shooters, and one constant there will always be, the cheater. They pollute all servers in all games, and no matter the anti-cheat, there will always be bypasses.
The best protection availabe is good server admin.
