Don't feel bad....I OC'd my 4850 for folding and toasted it. I get artifacts in 2D mode with it now. Seems to do fine in 3D mode though.....lol, makes no sense. I need a PSU and harddrive....then I'll have a 24/7 folder up and running. I'll just finish off my 4850....if F@H eats it....so be it. Trying to sort out some temp issues with my GTX275 right now....probably going to take some creative duct working to get the temps acceptable for folding. My 4850 was getting 2000-2500 PPD when it started getting artifacts in 2D mode.

I was at work with my card at home folding when it screwed up. I don't even know how long it had been messed up when I got home. I voided the warranty on it by replacing the GPU cooler with a Zalman because the temps were too high at idle to be able to fold with it. Was running 85C at idle with the reference cooler and 105-110C running WoW....within 30sec of F@H starting, it would hit 115C and result in F@H crashing. That's what I get for rushing to buy one when they were first released....my GTX275 runs a bit hotter than I care for as well....48C at idle....without my fan rule, it exceeds 70C within a few seconds of F@H starting. Can't seem to keep my fan rule working when F@H is running to keep it below 70C.

i like that it can show the log in the program(not sure what the MHZ setting is for though...have it at 1 or the default)....thanks happy!.....as for the heat of my card...it stands idle at 60c but never gets higher than 75c so as long as it doesn't start hitting 80 i think ill rest easy...for now

I did not mean how is he greating that level of ppd, I am reffering to the source!
I think he is reffering to his potential 24 hr ppd not his average 24hr ppd.
My potential ppd reported by Fahmon is 16000-20000 but my average 24hr is currently 9697.
This is because I can not Fold 24/7.

Fair nuff, go by the EOC stats I guess..
I usually go with the last 2 frames because when I fold (rarely) it is running 100%.

My other half is heavy in too Koi Carp, so there are loads of water/air pumps and UV units running all the time, having my two rigs running 24/7 as well would just blow the electric bill sky high.

only did the shaders, well it was stable at 1836, but turned it down to 1782 because it is folding all the time, havent had any EUE or unstable machine on that yet, so its doing fine, get a average of 5k ppd for that

@yukss
have a read through this http://folding.stanford.edu/English/WinGPUGuide
and use that client, your 260 will produce alot more points than your cpu in any given time frame
also have a look at HFM it will show you all the details you need to know about work units etc
on a personal note, i'd say use the console client as there is less hassle
