Default Help - Cannot print web pages in IE7 (Vista) - 04-25-2007, 21:41 | posts: 20

hi all, i hope someone can help, i have a HP printer and i have tested to see if its something to do with this program, an it definately is.

without ATT installed i can print web pages from IE7, but when i have installed ATT it no longer lets me do this, it comes up with a printer icon but then says if you highlight it 0 documents pending.

it prints fine from notepad etc it seems to just be IE7, however it will print pdf files from ie7 and other programs or files you open up with IE7, it seems to be a problem with just WEB pages.

please can someone help, i don't know what to do, i don't want to uninstall ATT as otherwise my ATI card will overheat.

I've tested already ATT with IE7 in Vista and found no problems. But you can do this. Put iexplore.exe into exception list in Autooverlocking dialog box.

i think it maybe a problem conflicting with maybe ATT and HP printer, maybe not all printers as if i choose to print to xps document in vista it works fine.

just installed firefox and can print fine off of that, just internet explorer i can't. but i don't know why?

Did you try to do what I wrote before about exception list?

Hmm. In this case I think you should also put any .exe files from HP printing software if any available.

No idea. ATT never will integrate its hook library in any of files located inside main Windows folder. And you also have iexplore.exe in exception list. So nothing should be happened. I have HP printer (but its network one) on my work place and I will try to check it in Vista

Do you have printer connect directly to your computer?

I can not connect it directly so only way I can test is network. But as I wrote before, no problems with it. May be updating HP drivers can solve your problem?

Default Printing in IE7 - 05-06-2007, 00:34 | posts: 1

Hi all,
After messing around a bit and scouring the net, I found 2 methods to print in ie7 with an HP 1500 series printer.

Option 1: Right click on the ie icon and run as administrator, then I was able to print.

Option 2: Turn off user access control. I did not try this method, but read that it works.

I hope this helps.
