With a aftermarket cooler, yes.

I get 22-25 idle and 44 load @ 3.4Ghz

45c Coretemp idle is about the idle im getting on a stock cooler, an undervolted e6300 (1.25vcore from 1.325) and stock speed on a hot 34c day....

whats your room temp BTW, TAT at 65c is at the edge of the thermal envelope though (at 70c its considered HOT,at 75c the CPU begins to throttle and at 80c it will shutdown)

anyway, i recommend reading the Core2duo temperature guide...its quite a long read but very informative

This is my chip! it runs hot what can i do, it's from the factory. was made to be hot, some were made to be cool. some runs at 20's some at 40s.

Yeah those B2's run very hot but are excellent chips, I think you will be alright but once you start getting into the 70's or high 60's you should back it down a bit.

Wow thats Really bad temps im geting lower then that with my tuniq just layying ontop of my chip and its @ 1.49v

Your Temp is WAy to high but that is still good try and push it more

its really odd. ... maybe u should get another heatsink like the thermalright ultra - 120 extreme or the zalman 9700led
