the motion blur effect in S.T.A.L.K.E.R
add -mblur at Stalker desktop shortcut (like the way you add -noprefecth -nointro etc)
then type r2_mblur [from 0.1 to 1.0], to set the motion blur

Here's a visual aid. I think it will help. There's a typo in there, I have incorrectly entered -smap1536 as smap1536.

Really nice effect, just wonder why it isn't enabled by default. :/

Null here. By the way people, I think I know why the devs didn't implement motion blur into the game by default. There are some subtle, yet quite distracting glitches with motion blur on. Here are two screenshots illustrating a few:

In this shot, the "haze" around the edges of the moving gun is cut from where I circled it...

... And in this shot, some strange, artifact-resembling stuff is seen beside the light post...

Well, seems to cause horrible eye pain after a few minutes on any setting, maybe that's why they didn't implement it.............

I recommend setting the value of the "r2_mblur" variable to 0.75 (1 = highest). I've fiddled with the setting a bit, and I found 0.75 to give the nicest results if you're looking for a more pronounced effect. 0.45 gives a more subtle effect, if that's what you're after.

Press your "`" key, to bring down the console and type it in, then press enter and "`" again.

You can also change the value in the 'user' LTX file in your 'shared documents'

I've got it set to 0.70 and think it looks the bee's knee's.
