I have a Gainward Geforce2 MX no TV out, and I have used the bios editor to up the clock rate and have checked the Sideband Addressing Enabled button. I thought it was on, because NVMax reports it as being on when I leave it at "auto", but I just downloaded 3dMark 2001SE and it reported it off. I downloaded WCPUID to verify this and it also reports it off. I checked my motherboard's BIOS, it's an Abit BE6-2 rev.2, and under CPU Softmenu, it has "AGP Transfers" and the options, Default, Normal, and Fast. I have tried "Default" (which is supposed to let the drivers decide), and "Fast", both with no results. I was curious about the check box "STRAP Overwrite Enabled" and wondered if this could have anything to do with why it won't enable sideband addressing? It was checked when I loaded my BIOS so I just left it alone. Fastwrites is unchecked. I can't see any reason why Sideband Addressing isn't enabled. Original BIOS version is 3.11.00.08.00 (Gainward). Clock rate is 190c/175m (I got stuck with 7ns SDRAM). My CPU is a P3-500 o/c'd to 575 (115MHz FSB). AGP bus is at 2/3. Detonator driver version is 22.50, OS is Windows 2000 SP2. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG?? HELP PLEASE!!! BTW I have Cyrillic installed on my computer and help file still won't open.

This message was edited by Size_Mick on 22 Mar 2002 08:49 PM
