ones retail the other oem , retail has a fan and box , oem does not

and yes it would be the same if you overclocked it to 2.4ghz and the same as an FX-60 if you get it to 2.6ghz and an FX-62 if you get it to 2.8ghz

Opteron 165 would be your best value. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103588

The dual core opterons are X2s which have passed all the tests perfectly, and are qualified for continuous intensive tasks, IE running a server.

To the computer enthusiast, that means it's a great CPU capable of some great overclocks (3 GHz+ are possible) without upping the vcore too much (due to the higher quality of the die itself).

For only $159, there's some great value there, I'd buy it.

Mine was well <200$ at NE and clocks @ 2.7ghz just to compare wiskerbizkit... Easily pushible to 2.9 and above.

I have no idea how far this will go, but i assume from the way i have it now it would go pretty far. I just wanted 2.5ghz on a dual core. my 4200x2 would barely do 2.45 with a ton of voltage to it.

I tried for a 165 and they were out, ordered a 170 then two days later they told me they were out so i went ahead and got this one.

Actually, most 4400+'s will not pass 2.5~2.6

Most opteron 165's will pass ~2.7 on a bad stepping (CCBWE) and will surpass 2.8~3.0 on a good stepping (CCB1E, CCBBE). Do you need to see some benchies? I'm waiting for my WC before I start pushing for 3.0, 3.1 and more.
