Mmmmmm SM4.0. Blood looks good in Bioshock and WGF 2.0 textures look great. I hear smoke effects and explosions can run up to 6 times as fast with WGF 2.0.
So is WGF 2.0 still going to be released after Vista ships? Vista will apparently only have WGF 1.0 when it launches and WGF 2.0 will come later with an update. WGF 2.0 is needed for all the effects D3D 10/DX10/DX Next (or what ever they name it next) hardware can run.
