Question Overdrive missing in new version of X1900GT -Possible to unlock? - 10-06-2006, 23:22 | posts: 1,047 | Location: United Kingdom

I have the new version of the X1900GT with 513mhz/1314mhz clocks. But unfortunatley it seems to have overdrive disabled in it. Is this possible to unlock?

Yep, in the old version of X1900Gt. I have the new version with HDCP support, changed clocks, better cooler etc etc. It seems it has been disabled at bios level, was hoping unwinder could shed some light. I can do a bios dump if necessary?

Check "ATI VGA BIOS information" in RivaTuner's diagnostic report module. It will show any overdrive info, if your BIOS contains it.

Thanks unwinder, it shows nothing about overdrive. So I guess only way to get it is via flashing?

Yep, there is simply no overdrive area in BIOS. You can get it only by flashing overdrive-capable BIOS.

Thanks very much, I guess I can do without it for now. Seems stupid they removed it from this version
