Question HDMI >>> DVI Cable - 09-18-2006, 13:39 | posts: 216 | Location: Scotland

Right quick question. My friend is planing on buying this

My question is will a cable worth about £15 be significantly less quality than one that cost 100+

or should he just stick to the vga cable.

thanks for any help

The TV will probaly come with cables mine did and I am using the DVI to HDMI supplied with a perfect picture. Here is a perfect example of cable purchases use a PC cable DVI of course and get a Monster cable plug them in to your PC and you tell me which one looks better the 9 dollar PC cable or the 160.00 Monster cable. Chances are unless you have super vision you won't see any difference what so ever.

You should not be able to tell the difference regardless of the price of the cable. Unlike an Analog signal, DVI and HDMI are digital signals, so regardless the quality of the cable a 1 is still a 1 and a 0 is still a 0. Digital can't change like analog can.
