When using headphones do you select stereo or headphones in the control panel, or do you change it for games or music, or do you think theres no difference.

I don't change a thing. Then again, I don't use my headphones that often, though they do sit on my desk...

i use when i play BF2 due it has both headphone and microphone . set it to desktop stereo

If you also have CMSS enabled, then you need to set it to headphones. I notice the difference if I get into a game and it is set to speakers, let's just say it definitely doesn't sound right.
