Default 5900 or 6200(NV43 A2) better for soft-quadro? Please help - 06-01-2006, 18:44 | posts: 34

Some people are selling out a 5900 and a 6200. I plan to buy one to soft-quad . But as I can't test them on my rig so if someone has result of these with SPECViewperf 8.1 please post(I couldn't find 6200 result same no one has tried). I think 6200 with NV43 A2 is better with games but I am not sure about 3D app.

Please help me as I couldn't find some one sold out their 6800 which surely better in both.
Thanks

this is the way I should go:

1. 6800GT/Ultra >FX4000 ___REAL mode
2. 6600GT >FX540 ___REAL mode
3. 5900 >FX3000 ___almost real mode
3. 6200/nv43A2>FX540 ___almost real mode

thats the way it goes

I am looking for SPECViewperf 8.1 result with these after soft mod. I have found some result for 5900->FX3000 but for 6200->FX540 there is none. As I also check in nVidia's site FX540 is low-end and FX3000 is hig-end but they seem don't show enough info for SPECViewperf 8.1 test.
Then I hope I could find someone selling their mod-able 6800.

You are absolutely correct. NVidia is not showing SpecViewperf results of the "puny" 540 because it kills their "high end" FX 3000...
