The audigy 2 zs is way better than the external soundblaster live external by looking or should I say hearing to the sound quality. So go for it. Furthermore you can softmod the audigy 2 zs to an audigy 4.

Even without the mod the audigy 2 zs perform with EAX HD way better in games than the external soundcard! And Audigy 2 zs is even better for movies since it is a 7.1 soundcard with THX certification!!!!!!

IS there a particular reason you wanted a external soundcard?

Yes, I know that's what you have now. I meant is there a reason you bought a external one before?

Yea ,I wanted something better then my onboard. Which the external is alot better then my onboard. However i will be swapping cases soon(i hope everything works ok) and i thought it would be a great time to buy a new card. And i wanted to know how much more better the Audigy2 card is compared to the card/box now.

Another question i have is how much power does this Audigy2 card require from the psu or mobo whathave you.

Ty

Power consupmtion of a soundcard is never really a concern. Well I mean I have never heard of anybody needing to chagne their PSU becuase of a soundcard. They are a low vlotage/current device..You'll be fine..
