im telling you guys its nearly impostable to find a adsl mdoem thats that has a rj45 connection,<br>
ive found afew makes, but they only sell to isps which then sell on, and as we all know isp like to add on a fair price to anything that might help you out.<br>

ive found one place that will sell a 3com ethernet adsl modem(rj45) but its twice the price of usb ones, even though there no difference,<br>
<br>
if anybody know were to buy ehternet adsl modem in the uk, or know of a usb/rj45 connecter please reply

you mean a connector with USB on the one side, and RJ45 on the other side ? <br>

it exists...but i don't know anymore who makes it<br>
but it is made to connect your PC to a LAN, i'm not sure if it works with internet, but i think so

there is a rj45 to usb connector widely available in case you think thats the one i want,<br>
thats were the rj45 cable plugs into an adaptor and a usb lead come out the other side, this is for pcs without a NIC mostly used by laptops,<br>
after alot of research i found that linksys have been working on a usb to rj45 adaptor, theres alot of demand out there for this type of adaptor because linux/unix user are having problems with the main usb providers modems.

Any idea on how this thing functiones??? <br>
I'e i've got Alcatel SpeedTouch USB.. i wonder how connection will initiated if you plug it in to rj45 on the nic.<br>
