Sorry to hear that about him. Totally don't blame you, if it was the last thing on earth.

People need to take a good look at themselves before they speak to others.

i might just jump on board within a few weeks i dont know yet..i would like to at least wait for the newer stepping that i heard will be out in 2 months..for vantage an 06 i'm not sure its worth it.

thats not the worse thing with that guy...he had the nerve to pm me about buying a pot 2 or 3 months later.... i laid into him so hard in pm that it would make a trucker blush...i threw it up to him being young
but anyways good luck with the benching

Hi guys, just thought i`d share my score,
3d mark06 default settings

system
i7 960 @stock 3.2g+turbo ,12g corsair vengence@1600
2 x ati2900xt 512 gddr3 780/840

after being made redundunt and downgrading my gpu`s a few months ago to 2 ati 2900xt`s+accelero coolers
and racking my brain trying to get crossfire to work properly i finally went back to basics and installed cat 10.2 and cf works a treat
i cant believe how good these cards are, considering i paid £33 for the 2 cards and £30 for the coolers.
Ok they are getting on now but i think a score of p19338 is pretty impressive for £63 of graphics cards and for there first run on 3dmark06

That's a pretty decent score, The Goose. That's about what I scored with a q6600@3.5Ghz and an overclocked and unlokced HD 6950.

thanks,it`ll do until i get my redunduncy
i`ve been trying different drivers,i tried cat 10.12,11.10 and 11.11b but cross fire doesnt work so sticking with cat10.2 + caps, tried occt stress test...with cat10.2 i get 100fps but 10.12 and above fps drop to 66, even though drivers say crossfire enabled msi afterburner shows only one card working at 780mhz,i quess ati gave up

yeah older drivers generally seem to work better or perhaps be more optimised with older hardware, might be worth giving radeonpro a go with newer drivers in case you need crossfire profiles for newer games.

CF scalling is crap - 30-40% GPU usage.
Are are any tricks to make driver work better

Tried Vantage and 11, all works fine, but 3Dmark06 doesn't work properly with actual AMD driver

you try to enable/increase overclock for CPU only to improve score in 3DMark 06. if you can get better score then your AMD driver may not have problem.

it's important what you want to download and so to test - GLSL-conics (2006) benchmark/demo because you have XP and guys don't have this OS.

ok but please you should post in my thread "GLSL-conics (2006) benchmark/demo" and you must retire message your post due to this wrong thread.

you got to sound not normal performance because your XP is abnormal and "unclear" but maybe you should clean dust in your CPU due to too hot. you should close or uninstall some programs unnecessary. sorry, if you can't better performance then you try to format HDD and to test again.

You interest to calculate the performance score or in fps simulated (at 100% GPU usage). - here
