Default X-FI XtremeMusic missing Dolby Digital - DTS - 04-13-2006, 20:44 | posts: 1,265 | Location: Bay City, MI

I dont have any utilities for Dolby Digital or DTS decoding with my XtremeMusic card. I have THX setup in the mixer control though. Do I need to install Creative's DVD playing application to get that support. Also, in entertainment mode I dont get the DTS or Dolby Digital icons on the mock up amp Creative uses. I did a very limited install when installing the drivers as I didnt want too much bloatware installed on my pc.

Thanks Guru's

P.S. In the meantime I have been using Purevideo & WMP to play my Dolby Digital DVD's. I would like to see the difference if it was using the hardware decoding offered by my X-FI.

I can't comment on the install as I don't have theis card but if you want something you didn't install do a reinstall and out in what you want. Although I am not really sure what you would get though-do you get setups for DD and DTS? -I am not sure..
