My first post here, and just wanted to add my thanks for RivaTuner. Been using it for about a year (from a GeForce 4 Ti4200 AGP --> 6800 AGP --> 7600GT PCI-E) and had just begun using the ability to set fan speed to heat.
Now i've upgraded i've lost all that, and I really miss RivaTuner.
Keep up the good work mate, i'll be first in the queue to download...

@Unwinder, is there a trick for 7900 like for X1900, that it could work with 15.8 ? U know, to force RT to detect 7900 as 7800.

Oh btw. Hi to all

Hi,

you still can use Rivatuner in Hardware Emulation Mode.

To do so, you have to go to the Power User Tab
to "\System" and change the
"ForceVGADeviceID" Value to 92
(It's the DeviceID from the 7800GTX-512)

I know It's not even a true workarround, but in hardware emulation mode I at least can Monitor my Temps

Cant wait for the new version, keep it up! Long time user of RivaTuner. When I first got my new 7900 and noticed Riva wasnt working anymore I was truly bummed out. Didnt realize how much a program not working anymore could bum me out!

All I can say now is:

Just have a patience, and one day you'll see RC16 in downloads.

is it possible to also include cpu temperature and motherboard fan speed plugins so that everything can be monitored neatly with rivatuner....

i like the feature that u can click on on spot / second and it will disply the ttemps for that second ...

it would be nice to have rivatuner as like a tool to oc and monitor cpu and gfx...
( im just lazy to open like 3 programs just to monitor temps, fans, and clock speeds , but it is the recording features of rivatuner thats important... )

There is already built-in plugin for all nForce based modos supporting NVSU SMI interface, allowing CPU/system temperatures and fan speeds monitoring. Don' think that I'll ever create a plugin for other chipsets, as all the PCs in my testlab are nForce based. However, the plugin architecture is open, so it is possible that you'll see such plugins one day from some other third-party developer, which will work with your mobo. For example, there were third-party plugins for Abit aGuru based mobos.

Nope, I won't do it distantly. Maybe in future in Intel will finally rehabilitate themselves with Conroe I'll get one Intel based system for testlab. Right now I see zero sense in investing a money in Intel CPUs, currently A64 CPUs clearly outperform them.

Well, you're in for quite a surprise then - by the end of the year

Anywhoo, like someone already said, didn't realised that RivaTuner was so important for me, i'm really missing it ... haven't even installed my Zalman VF900-Cu on my XFX 7900GT xxx because I can't use Rivatuner to overclock it

it'll be done when its done. why do you want him to rush it so that you can tinker around with it. and then come back here and start cribbing about bugs.

its better to wait for a polished final program than asking him to hurry up. and besides, do you really think he cares lol. its his software, when he thinks its ready, it'll be out.

so just sit back and wait, like the rest of us...

I do believe that devil007 is not in perfect command of the English language, so what he wanted to say came across the wrong way. Just my take on the situation, but I don't think he's trying to rush Unwinder, he's just saying he's excited and looking forward to RT16.

You really have to read between the lines when someone, who does not have English as their native language, tries to post in English.

Guys, have a patience. I'm working hard to bring release to public, and such questions absolutely don't speed the process up.
