Ok, my brother has a Asus A7N8X-E DELUXE with the soundstorm enabled on the box when he is running this game the all you hear is background noise, and noises like the gun being reloaded and switching. You can’t hear shots being fired at all. It’s the craziest thing. I have put the 5.10 nforce 2 drivers and even reverted it back to the first rev that came with the motherboard. Still no go. This is of course a clean windows install and running xp sp2. Anyone else having this issue. No other games do this. I have run all the audio diagnostics all 6 (sub included in that number) of his speakers work.

His specs

A7N8X-E Deluxe
3000+
1 gig valueram pc 2100
XFX 6600GT
120gig Western DIG

He said nForce...

Soundstorm only works per optical/digital out, right? Is it possible that a loose connection or somethign like that would actually cause sounds to go missing as described, since it's digital? Lost packets or something like that? Don't know why else you'd hear part of the sounds... How about out of games? Music or movies? Same problem?

Everything else works fine games, and movies. Even the speaker test. He's running all anolog out so its not a digital issue. Oh well.

You have to change the level of hardware acceleration in the control panel, and that solves the problem, I hope that is a bug of the demo.

Well, if he's running analog it must be an internal issue - Have you tried a complete reinstall of Windows? Format & all?

Uhm, there's an issue on 1 game?
Sounds like a game bug, not a sndstorm issue

I agree. As for previouse questions, I stated in the origional post that it is a clean install and it is only this one game. Also that I have the latest Nforce drivers and at this point, Its not my box its my brothers just needed to know if it was a known issue. I give up

I would say it's a issue with the game. If it was with the snd hardware it would show up all the time. Look on the website for the game probably a known issue...also could just me a misconfiguration in the game...
