They have been out for about a year now but Altec Lansing decided not to sell them in the U.S. Wish I can get some.

Altec Lansing makes some AMAZING speakers. My ex had a set of 2.1 speakers that you couldnt turn up past half volume (for fear of losing your hearing), they never distorted, and they were able to create a semi-5.1 surround setting with just the 2 speakers (it was actually like 4 speakers the way they were set up but it was only 2 separate parts).
I'm a big fan of Altec and Creative products, and the ones in the link you posted would probably rattle my apartment to pieces
