Default X850XT PE Scores? - 01-01-2006, 23:23 | posts: 4,349 | Location: Scotland

After overclocking my X850XT to PE speeds (but 20MHz more on the memory) I ran 3DMARK05.
I got 5660 with my current OCs BUT my CPU is at 2039Mhz. What are yous getting? Is this due to my processor? I've seen 6000 - 6400.
Even though I'm 'processor' limited, even if I OC I get a rise in score....

Please post your X850XT PE 3dmark05 scores and how much you've OC'ed them!

P.S: Neverless I'm still extremely happy about ingame performance!

EDIT: Does anyone have a tool to check your CPU temp, when idle and loading?? Thanks!

Try a program called CPUCOOL.

I'm scoring in the 6500-6600 range in 3dmark05 and in the 13000-14000 range in teh 3dmark03.
I run my flashed x850Pro at 533/580.

Ok thanks. CPUCOOL website looks dodgy, lol. Don't you need to pay for it?

What could I try to overcome this bottleneck? Would I see a slight increase if I raised my processor speed by like 50Mhz? I'm thinking of buying a Athlon XP 3200+ (512kb cache, 2.2GHz) off Ebay or getting a Sempron 3000+ (512kb cache, 2Ghz).
Would a Sempron 3000+ be OK since the 3200+s are quet scarce?

Thanks.

Just got 68xx.

I don't have an XTPE perse, but my GT02 card is the equivelant of it, right down to the clock speeds.

By overclocking my CPU by 61Mhz more I gained 115 more 05 points I'll first see if this is absolutely stable (its at 2081Mhz) and check the temps, I'm sure the guy that built me this computer (apart from GPU) he had it around 2110Mhz (that was 2 years ago). I'll clean all the fans out as welll. (meh, I'll also turn the heater off my room)

So, so far I've reach 5775 05 marks. Still quiet low, but meh.

EDIT: I downloaded BurnInTest v4 PRO and ran the test, it finished and I got a FAIL, but thats cause I don't have a floppy drive. Why has it not told me my temps:

I don't have a x850XTPE but I have a X800GTO2 running 16x1,6vp @ 640/1268 (I think in this benchmark)

7620

I know 8k is within reach. I'm still running stock cooling and stock voltages so a bit of headroom is available.

Wow, nice one mate.

Ran 05 last and got 5836 with Sempron @ 2.1Ghz! Thats with a STOCK cooler, thats nearly 400Mhz. Temps ain't to bad either. (highest recorded is 45C)

6550 3dmark05 here.

Specs on the left. I run my Flashed x850 Pro at 530/580.

Not to brag but I'm on guru3d, overclockers.com, overclock.net and tech power up forums and I'm not even sure I've seen someone even with a XTPE with higher scores then me on the everyday posts( IE not going to the hall of fame scores, trust me I understand there is higher with my card)

I usually see guys in the 4500-5500 and most of the time they have a generation older CPU then me. A score of 5500-6000 with this card seems to be good so I think you're doing quite well considering your processor.

I dont know my exact score, but it was in the 6500-6800 range. This was with the CPU @ 2.6 and GPU at 555/1300. I lost my stability for core and CPU OC's after driver and bios updates. With good cooling (Aka, H20) scores of 8.5k are possible.

Will a 2700+ and 333mhz ram be enough to get me lower scores than you guys, or is there something wrong with my x800xt?

Im getting about 66xx as well... everything is stock at the moment, however (waiting for that paycheck so I can get a better PSU and cooling system )

Something tells me that even though this is all stock, I should be getting slightly higher... but I dont know for sure (maybe Im just expecting too much hehehe).

EDIT: Just did a quick OC to 580/630 and broke 71xx

I'm sure there is, I even admit that in my post.
I just haven't seen many on the day to day board.
