Default Remove StatisticsServer icon from systray - 12-28-2005, 09:37 | posts: 1

Hi all,

Riva Tuner v2.0 rc15.8 and RivaTunerStatisticsServer work great on my 6600GT. I use OSD in games and an icon for card temp. Thank you.

How can I remove the orange RivaTunerStatisticsServer icon from the system tray ?
The documentation states you can customise the icon via the .oem file but I want to remove the icon totally. (and I can't find a hidden .oem file anywhere)

TIA

Updated RivaTunerStatisticsServer v1.3.1 bundled utility.
The most of changes are targeted to OEMs, bundling the server with their own products:
* Added server window caption / tray icon tooltip customization possibility via .oem configuration file.

You cannot do it. And will not be able to do it in future versions, as the server's tray icon is the only way to access its' properties or unload the server.

The documentation you've quoted states that you can customize tray icon tooltip, but not the icon itself.

You know you can right click the icon and either pick exit or setup. In setup, you can uncheck "Run at Windows startup". Is that what your referring to?

Nope, it seems like he wishes to have the server running but prevent it from displaying its' icon in system tray.
