Check this program out. it was recommended by my notebook maker, you can control quite a bit. I've undervolted my dothan to ~.7v@600mhz which gives it a lot more battery life. You'd be amazed how little juice these really need.
\You can also control fans, ATI gfx card clock speeds, HD activity, read SMART codes, and a heck of a lot more.

NM, did you try going any lower than .7?
edit: nevermind you can't get lower well I'm cruising @ 4:00 hours battery time with max screen brightness, and just under 6 hours with lowest brightness settings.

After underclocking the video card, I can now break 6 hours 10 minutes. 275core/191 mem. Going to try going lower without crashing.

after further tweaking 200mhz/156 is as low as I'm going to bother taking it. Might try further next time.

Before installing this program I was running at 3:30 minutes battery time on a 9cell battery pack. Now I'm pushing 6 hours 45minutes after pushing the cpu volt down and underclocking the vpu.
