The digital diagnostic display on my MB stays on when i shut the system down displaying a value of FF. If I shut the power off at rear of PS it goes off of course. This is the first MB I have seen where the digital LED stays on after a shutdown. Is this Normal does your MB do it too?

Thats perfectly normal.

FF means the motherboard is in a "state" that is ready to be powered up.
ABit's definition is "boot attempt (INT 19H)" but that doesn't mean that much.

RTFM
Read the manual!!
