Hi Guys,
I was using a fairly old GeForce driver 6.xxx something on my PNY 6600GT and installed the new RivaTuner. I was so happy to have that fan speed control and as soon as i set it to 98% or lower (2d) the fan became almost silent! Great! Then I installed the new 81.95 driver but unfortunatelly the fan control doesnt work anymore: as soon as i set it to something less than 100% the control jumpes all to the left (25%) but the fan keeps on blowing at full speed. Well, am I doing something wrong here? Do I have to install the old GeForce driver again? Anything else I can try? Thanks a lot, BillCh |

Driver-level 2D/3D fan control for some GPU families is broken in 8x.xx drivers. There is nothing you can do with it, wait for fix from the ForceWare side.

Hi i have the same problem with the 6600GT and that new driver. can you tell me what driver you had prior to the one you have now, so i can atleast enjoy controling the fan speed for a little.
