Is it plugged in the right port ?
Is the mic Mute tab unchecked in the volume properties ?
Did u completely disable your onboard soundcard via the Bios ?
What is your favourite colour ? No wait that's from Monty Python's Holly Grail....

Check under recording properties and make sure that it is set to mic and not "What you hear".

Go into the Sound and Audio devices properties and make sure that in the Audio tab, under Sound Recording the Audigy is selected as the default device.
Same in the Voice tab.

If your "sooo funny" comment was sarcastic, i will be very upset (i might even cry).

Heh no worries man i was kidding too

Anyway since all your settings r correct and the hardware has been tested, my only suggestion would be a driver reinstall since that's creative's Achilleas heal...

Use Driver Cleaner to remove your current drivers and re-install them.

Could possibliy the problem be because I'm using Audigy 4 applications and Audigy 2ZS drivers?

Shouldn't make any difference. I have an Audigy 1, with the latest betas and the A4 apps and the only thing that doesn't work id the equalizer (never use it anyway). And just in case, this is the setting that I referred to earlier,

To tell the truth, it has been so long since I used the original apps, I couldn't tell you. I'm sure there have been some functionality/compatibility improvements, but the main difference is the silver skin.
