The ASRock board is good till bios 1.20, where a lot of oc options were introduced, but ASRock is ****ting on his customers, because the've removed alot of OC options as of bios 1.30. Bios 1.40 is out since a week and it's no difference.

First they come with neat stuff and then they take it away from us.

I had high hopes for this board, but one thing's for sure: When i get a PCI-e board in the future, i go DFI.

There is a guy on the forums that i posted above running his 939 dual sata @ 400 HTT.......i dunno about you but i am impressed

Asrock do not make boards for overclockers ( not so far anyway ). The 939 dual sata is a budget board as it's price indicates... £45 in the uk

The fact that you can overclock if you take the time to do it properly is just a bonus with this board.

I'm not asking for such reaction. The fact is this: The've made this board popular due to its good oc'ability. And that was a complete surprise. People bought this mb, because it could oc. The first bios didn't have oc options and ASRock added that in the 1.15 and 1.20 bios. Many were happy with, but with 1.30 and 1.40, ASRock removed the oc options and now we're stuck with some illusion. You think that's good? Would you like that if that happened to you?

I said it before: I'm going DFI when i get a PCI-e card.

1. What reaction ?

2. Just stick with the earlier, more functional bioses.

3. I love my 939 Dual sata....Asrock have done absolutely nothing i didn't expect them to do

Bitchin' about the Bios....where is that little roll the eyes thing...use the the version that works best for you, you DON'T have to use the latest version.
"The've made this board popular due to its good oc'ability", who is they?

But hopefully will make some head way just keep getting a dam irql not less or equal error message when installing windows.
I have the 1.40 bios on mine but it seems to have the overclocking option unless they just dummy settings.

Best of luck with that opteron setup. I have mine running at 2.4ghz and no problems at. I like this motherboard and It is the only motherboard out of three I have owned that can run my memory at ddr400 speeds or higher. I think mine is running at pc3700 speeds.

Ive got mine on the way (should be here tommorow!) with a new AMD 4000+ and 2 gigs of Corsair (2x1G sticks). Cant wait!

I always get a little anxious when building a whole new system. Ive only done it a few times with (fortunately) very little problems.

Besides...with guru3d and newegg how can you go wrong?

I love my board. I am not a die hard overclocker mainly because i dont know what the hell im doing and i dont want to fry anything. You can see my build on the right. Can you guys make some RAM reccomendations. I was thinking about going with OCZ Platnuim RAM (2 gigs). Other than my RAM slowing down my processor, the computer handles pretty much anything i throw at it. BF2, F.E.A.R, and HL2 run great.

So far no problems with mine either.

The 1.40 bios isn't all that bad, just some would want to keep the volt mods in place, but there are some that are casual overclockers like me. It can take 250 htt pretty well, and thats all I need now anyways.

Will try to get to 266 htt soon on default voltage

Oh I forgot to mention, is it just me, or is raid performance a bit slow because of the high cpu usage (30% plus)?

I love mine. Initially had some compatibility problems with a gigabyte wireless card, but after replacing that, everything works top notch, no problems whatsoever. Is incredibly fast, and rock solid.

TECH SUPPORT BLOWS FROM ASROCK.

I think they have one guy in cali taking phone calls. And he sucks.
