Okay diging through my bios i found an infrared enable/disable option... WTF?! is there an IrDA port on the mobo? or is this to support legacy devices like serial irda? or USB-irda?

Almost all mobos since the Pentium have an edge connector that you can use to have IrDA through one of the RS232 serial ports, but you need to buy a receiver that will connnect to it...
