Default OSx86 > We need your help - 08-25-2005, 17:37 | posts: 116 | Location: UT

At the risk of sounding like begging, I'm asking for the help of the community here at guru3d.

The dev kit version of the OSX for x86 included drivers for only one video chipset (an intel craptacular). Some have found a way to hack the kernel extensions to detect their other intel video chipsets, but nVidia and ATI cards are not detected and cannot use the Quartz Extreme/ Core Graphics functionality.

<Link removed by moderator>

This thread is the bleeding edge of finding working 3D acceleration for nVidia cards on OSX for x86.

Please help us find the cure.

For those who have no interest or feel that it just isn't right to do this, please don't bother posting

No, it runs natively. But I don't understand the last part of your post...

You my friend, have it illegally.

The Developers got OSX x86 copy of the Operating System, ALONG with the hardware to run it for $999

IF you are wanting to run it with other stuff, then you are running it illegally, and are very much violating the contract you signed with Apple.

Ask again, and you will be in more trouble than you can poke a stick at.

Incase you are Legit and are trying to work on some Application for the OS, I suggest you contact Apple directly which would be more than willing to help.
