Hi.
I have just bought myself a new graphics card. It's a ASUS 6800GT. Box says ASUS V9999GT/TD/N/128M/A. But I cant see any info abut pixelpipelies in RivaTuner Whats wrong? See picture:

There is no pipeline detection for NV48 in RT. I'd like to see a diagnostic report including a dump of graphics processor's register to ensure that it is really NV48.

whoah you got a one of a kind gpu there just about! That was going to be used to counter the x850 series but then Nvidia realised the whole idea of a 20mhz core jump or whatever the difference is b/w x800/x850 is stupid so they cancalled.

NV48 WAS NEVER CANCELLED
NV48 is in the inf file of the last several drivers under the name 6800 and 6800gt it is a Card Refresh on the 0.11mfp where as the nv40 was released on the 0.13mfp |

Last week I tried to install ForceWare 77.50 beta (NV48 not defined in inf file). With it Windows cannot find right drivers for my card. But now with the full 77.50 WHQL candidate (with NV48 in inf file) no problem to install.
What is new into NV48? The WM9 decoder is debugged or not? and what about pipes  edit: I found this line in RivaTuner.cfg file [GPU_10DE] ... NV48 = 210h-21Fh Does it mean RivaTuner know this GPU but cannot use NVStrap with it?? A+ :: NeKo :: |

I think it's a little older than the higher NV4x cores Hopefully it's unlockable and all that? |

I have installed RT 15.6 this afternoon. It is able to unlock my NV48 pipes and gain is wonderful. with 12x5: 3DMark 03 -> 8973 3DMark 05 -> 3856 with 16x6 and a little overclock: 3DMark 03 -> 10793 3DMark 05 -> 4751  Big thanks to his creator. |
