I'd like to overclock my Hercules GF II MX with these new drivers. Is there a solution to do that, like a reg-key. Even Powerstrip beta 3 is not able to do it
You need th so called 'CoolBits', a registry entry change.
You can search the web for 'coolbits' and download and install the
file 'coolbits.reg' or better you get 'NvMAX' and activate the option 'enable coolbits'.
The Overclocking settings are located in the advanced settings of the
GeForce 2MX display which you can find in the display settings of the
control panel.
You can also set up everything for Direct3d and OpenGL.
But the best feature is to specify profiles for every programme started automatically.
(e.g. fewer details for a new game and more details for an older game)
You only have to copy the NvMAX shortcut to the autostart folder.
I downloaded bios editor http://www.x-bios.3dgames.ru/
With this utility I flashed my hercules 3d prophet 2 mx bios. Fairly complicated procedure. Read instructions on site and the help menu in the bios editor program. You can save your current bios if you have any problems. The program uses nvflash. I permanently overclocked my card to 231/220. No problems so far.
