Loaded up the latest version of Riva Tuner last night and was all excited about overclocking my GF3 Ti 500... I'm using 21.83 Drivers...

Program seemed to load just fine. The first time I was able to run it just fine and "poke around" enough to see my clock settings for the card at the default 239.XXX and 501.XXX

When I tried to overclock it promted me to reboot so I did and now I get the following message and my clock frequencies read ZERO!

-----------
Warning! Cannot load IO Driver. All low level IO operations will not be performed...

Hmmm... Anyone know what's going on here? Could it be the slight O/C on my FSB to 139?

This message was edited by Caveman on 13 Dec 2001 03:48 AM

Please check up RivaTuner's folder. Does it contain RivaTuner.sys file?

Thanks for the support. I'll look to see when I get home tonight and post more... The program seemed to function "normally" after I closed the error message window except for the Overclock area which displayed "N/A".
This message just tells that it cannon load RivaTuner.sys IO driver. It can be caused by the following reasons:

1. This file doesn't exist, or it is corrupted (try to extract it once more (BE CAREFUL AND USE ARCHEIVER, WHICH SUPPORTS LONG NAMES)).
2. You have no administarative rights under w2k/xp

<<I used Win XP's native "unzip" utility (which I would guess has long filename support) I'm not sure what Archiever is but I'll try and find out...>>
<<I've been asssuming I have "administrative rights" but perhaps I don't -- although I'm the one that installed the OS, maybe there's a "switch" that need's flipped somewhere in Windows... Please keep the feedback coming as I'd love to use your program. I'll give it another day or so before I give up.
Thanks.
