Default Weird 3000+ av8 windows oc thingy - 01-26-2005, 19:58 | posts: 17 | Location: Boston

Whenever I try to overclock my 3000+winchester w an abit av8(specs at right) the computer always comes up with a ton of weird error messages and then shuts it down. Then, when I start up windows, it stops and comes up with a blue error screen, which at the bottom reads: beginning dump of physical memory. I then have to go into the BIOS and reset all the timings. Whats wrong. My CPU fan is a TT Venus 7.

How do you overclock? FSB/MEM/DIVIDER???
How much do you overclock?

Maybe your Winchester just doesn't take it well. Not all CPUs can OC well. I know the Winchester is meant to be a great oc, but that does not mean all Winchester OC well!

Have you locked your PCI bus to 33.33? and AGP bus to 66.66? What is your memory clock at? What is your HTT divider set to?
