Default Making Rivatuner settings permanent using BIOS? - 12-26-2004, 20:26 | posts: n/a

How can I make a gfx BIOS for my video card that implements all of the settings I have in Rivatuner? If I have masked pipes, where the new Rivatuner would open them, could I open them using a BIOS file? Say from a GT or Ultra?

Use a search, I've already provided the script for doing that in this forum.

I don't wanna seem like a lazy bastard, but I searched for "BIOS script" w/ nickname "Unwinder" and didn't find anything. Did you make a seperate topic?

Great work btw. Would you mind if I made RivaTuner work using Wine?

just curius, would this perm unlock the pipes for a card that won't unlock with 15.2? Cuz I've tested the pipes, and they work fine (with the command to unlock that wasn't safe..... I couldn't wait :p ).

//edit, in case anyone else was wondering:

"Nope, it must be slightly altered to be new generation NV40s compatible. The script supporting both lock types will be included in upcoming RC15.3"

The script to mod the bios so it unlocks the "really locked" pipes will be in 15.3? Nice!

Kick!

Unwinder, if I run the following script, will the pipes actually be used or simply unlocked? Unlocked right?

No.
The pipes will be unlocked if you'll run the script, change your VGA BIOS image with it, and _flash_ it.
