Too right its a status symbol But isnt everything we own when we have the money to spend, most of us live in bigger houses than we need to, we drive flash fast cars more than we need. its all about what we can afford.

SLi is a little overkill but so is the FX55 but u own one. is that your limit to a status symbol? im sure if u could afford it your would have a SLi setup.

Here are some more pics of the A8N-SLI that I snapped the other day. Not as high res as the ones in this thread earlier, but gives you more idea on the A8N-SLI deluxe packaging and what comes with it.

Nice new setup you are getting there

I'm doing the same (but was going to get the Gigabyte SLi mobo). I will be very interested in the results!

I looked at the MSI and ASUS boards and went ASUS because of the spacing between the SLI slots allows for Ultra cooling with space to spare. It's really tight on the MSI board. Not sure on the Gigabyte, because I've not seen pics of it.

I was stuck between the gigabyte and asus - both are similar boards. The asus became available sooner so thats y i got it. Wasnt bothered about the MSI cos it has no PCI-E 1x slots, and if im paying out for nforce 4 I want as many features as possible. Also, the single slot spacing between PCI-E 16x slots put me off.
Im building the rig NOW so any benchies ppl want me to run let me know. Remember, I have no vid card cos PCI-E 6800GT's are like gold dust right now, so i cant run GPU benchies. Leadtek ones are instock, but im not sure about em - what do u guyz think?

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but I got mine setup last night!

Specs to the right.

3DMark03
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k3=3515672

3DMark05 is around 8,600

I'm putting it into an antique victrola case, so this will be pretty unique (as if it isn't already). Will post progress pics when finished.

I have to say, HL2 is smooth as silk!
very, very, very happy.

y do u want him to change his pic???? BTW my GT has been delayed till thursday. Im actually getting pretty tempted to get a second one soon now aswell and just sod it and put it on my credit card LOL! BTW, this FX absolutely flies. We have a good hardware mag in the uk called custom pc, and they have their own pretty intensive benchmark suit. My rig actually scored higher than their own FX-55 rig, and they had their FX overclocked too!!! What other benchies can i run to test the power of this cpu while im waiting for the GPU to arrive?
