Yes,it´s better to test the water cooling kit alone, for 3 hours or more, then if there are any leaks, then you can put theCPU

Your PC wont actually turn on without a CPU installed.

What you really need to do is get one of the test kits that you rig to the Power Supply so it thinks that it has recieived a power on command, so it will turn on and supply power to the water cooling system.

One builder to rule them all.

ive jst installed a watercooling kit, i didnt bother removing anything except i had my finger on the power button jst in case! I turned it on and the valve on the cpu water block started leaking! so i turned it off n then it worked fine
if there is a leak the resouvior shows levels of water decreasing!
well worth it tho got my XP 2600 @2.4ghz at 1.85v and northbridge cooling too its 35 degrees on full load and 29 at idle (silent)

I don;'t understand. Why not leave the air coollng on then after no leaks take it off install water block.Doesn't seem like rocket science.Make sure you shake the cpu and radiator all around to make sure there are no air pockets in your system. You can get one in your block and never have the coolling you should.29 at idle what system you got.I have a koolance exos on the way in the mail and that is one of the few reviews I read with that kind of temp.

All I use is about an inch and a half of thin wire from a paperclip, bent into a W shape.

Push this into the #13 and #14 pinholes in the ATX plug, and the PSU will fire up just fine as soon as you plug it in.

Man, I can't believe you guys are testing for leaks INSIDE THE CASE! That's flirting with disaster, without a doubt!!

Well, lots of luck....
