EVGA 6800nu rivatuner prob -

I used 15.2 to unlock the 4 pipes and one shader. Wehn it reboot I had some weird artifacts so I figured that they were bad pipes, So I undid the four pipes and kept the shader. Rebooted and everthing was good again.
I though that I would try it one time more just incase. Had the same problems of artifacting (even in normal desktop mode, just clicking on the start button would start it)
So I set it back to factory and rebooted. Everything is good again but when I try 3dmark03 I get real bad artifacts. I never had them before I tried unlocking the pipes...
Do I have to do something special to get the card back to factory state.
Thanks
Bmo

Hey looks as if we have the same video card and about the same gaming rig.
I would recommend for you to uninstall rivatuner and restart and try again... If you still have artifacts try to reinstall the video drivers. 66.51 is what I am using. If that doesn't work you will need to call EVGA for a replacement card.
good luck

Yup that fixed it. I uninstalled rivatuner and the drivers, reinstall 66.51 and everthing works good again, no artifacts in 3dmark anymore.
Should I try to install rivatuner again? And then unlock them ?
On a side note is there a gama problem with the 6800's. The color and sharpness overall seems off. I had a 5700ultra before and it has a lot cleaner on the desktop and video.
Thanks for the help tiggie

You have 16x1 6vp !!!! Cool and with no artifacts too. I don't get artifacts either. I do get texture curruption in 3dmark03 on the Trolls Lair and Mother Nature. It is very little but the only thing keeping me from keeping 16 pipes is this.
Try opening a text document then click it and drag it around your screen. I get yellow specs. The more you move the window. The yellow specs just multiply.
Let me know if you get the same?
Far as your gama??? What kind of monitor do you have? LCD ? CRT? Model # will do if your not sure...
Alot times adjusting your refresh rate to 75-85 hz does the trick.
on a CRT tube.
fixed 60hz on LCDs
15" LCDs need 1024x768
17" LCDs need 1280x1024
19" LCDs need 1600x1200
For maximum clarity

I installed rivatuner but I have not unlocked the 4 pipes and shader yet. I wanted to make sure that the card is ok again in stock form.
Not sure if I want to try it again thou... I don't want to do any damage to the card.
I have a Sony Crt projector 1271q, The pc is basically a HTPC home theater pc. I am running 1184x666 @71.928. 100" 16x9 screen.
I do game on it sometimes... farcry and UT2004 but I have a gaming pc that I mainly use for that.
I have read that there is gama fixes in rivatuner, anyone ever use them?
Thanks
Bmo

Ha Ha ... with a screen like that you should just return your 6800 or Ebay it. Buy a 6800 Ultra and call it a day. LOL Thought you were on a personal pc.
Rule of thumb is this. More resolution the better the card you need. Actually I would have your eyes on the NEW card for ATI that is coming out soon. It will be a All in Wonder with a x800xt built in. For video it will be the best card for your situation.
