Club3d 6800nu 128MB

pixel unit 0 and vertex unit 3 were disabled and hw masked.

Vertex unit 3 is enabled succesfully.

Pixel unit 0 enabled gave artifacts in Doom3.

My 3dmark05 score 4563 as of now

Hi again.

After i opened up all pipes i cant overclock my card anymore. Rivatuner says that the frequencies are no good when i push the test button.

What can be done? I am using forceware 66.81.

MSI NX6800-TD128

16x1, 6vp gives me artifacts in 2D (start menu/task bar) (didn't bother trying any games).

12x1, 6vp works without any problems.

Pixel unit 1 and vertex unit 3 are hardware masked.

Ok here goes.

Leadtek 6800nu:

Pixel unit 2:
Vertex unit 3:

both working. i tested the fill rates with 3dmark01, and here's the results. xp1700+ @ 2100mhz (175x12)

single texture fillrate 3216 mtexels:

multi texture fillrate *5669* mtexels

my overall score was 15,794 (lame cpu)

so guys do you think its working in reference to my fill rates ? once i get 3dmark03 to quite crashing i'll test it with that too ( it crashed before mod, has been for awile now ? )

EDIT: i have 3dmark03 working i had to switch my ram around. had it in slots 1 and 3. put it to 2 and 3, and all's well ! (asus a7n8x) 3dmark score @ 375/875 - 10,101 my fill rate was 5900 something can't remember it works. you da man Unwinder. thx so much !

This is my test of 3Dmark05 using 66.81-drivers:

stock speeds:
12x1,5 - 3288p.
12x1,6 - 3352p.
16x1,5 - 3620p.
16x1,6 - 3716p.

with overclock:
12x1,5 / 390,870 - 3936p.
12x1,6 / 390,870 - 4038p.
16x1,5 and 16x1,6 - won't oc.

I guess rivatuner find something in the pipelines that it don't like much. However, I don't see any artifacts, so maybe it'll let me oc if i increase the core-throttle-voltage...

i would also like to find that tool that allows you to up the voltage without flashing to a diff bios ? apparently you can edit your own bios's voltage.

I belive you can use nibitor to edit the voltage, but i belive u still need to flash the new edited bios....which is a bummer, cause i don't have a floppy and nvflash is only in dos-mode.
Correct me if i'm wrong...

you are right. get a floppy drive
remember when editing your bios with NiBiToR, u should change the value of "Throttle" voltage only. to 1.4-1.5v...this is the only one that matters due to some problems with nibitor and 6800 bios...

edit: ain't sure if it is ALWAYS the Throttle voltage, but prolly is the one that is 1.2v, since that's the correct default...my Throttle was 1.2, now is 1.4 and i'm able to go all the way to 435 core

$ffffffffff NVIDIA VGA BIOS information

$1100020102 Voltage level 2 : 1.40V, VID 00000010b

I guess throttle is 1.2v. During doom-timedemo with 'rivatuner-hardware-monitoring' in the background it never raises above 1.2v....if i edit the bios, will it be stuck on 1.4v all the time then? Even in 2D?

mine also showed 1.2 at all times (even when running in background) before the mod. now it always shows 1.4....
about the being stuck @1.4v all the time, i don't think so, cause i have such HUGE changes (6-7șC+) in temps when starting a game or bench...it can't be anything else right it's voltage alright

Can I raise 3D voltage from 1.4v to 1.5v AND throttle from 1.2v to 1.4v? Will it work or fry my card? Anybody tried that?

Leadtek A400 6800.
that won't do any good for your card. the only value that matters is the throttle one, cause it's the one that ends changing the "real" performance voltage in the end...don't bother with the others. (i'm saying this based on what Unwinder told me)

During testing new clock frequency driver performs internal stress-testing, allowing it to detect system instability and rendering artifacts, which you may not see. If stress test fails on that clocks it means that enabled units DON'T work properly on the clocks you are trying to set. If stress test fails even on default clock+1MHz - you are out of luck. Try to boost core voltage and stop spamming me with this 'bugreport'. Simply think a bit.
Hmmm - i have the same probllem like BENCHMARKMAN.A turned on this disable test... and i overclock core and memories to 875/900 and all looks fine in 3dmark 03 and aquamark - and my question is - what is going on - i dont have artifacts anywhere (games, benchmarks)but rivatuner test dont pass - y ?

ohh - one more - RT can test stabillity in 0.5 sec ?? - this time take to show error :/ ??

Default weird problem - 10-05-2004, 22:51 | posts: 4

i have a weird problem after activating to 16/6. don't have artifacts or anything, but my 3dmark03 score droped about 1000 points, but 3dmark05 went up 500 points.

tried with different drivers but no change. another thing i've noticed, that fill rate test (single texturing) and pixel shader 2.0 test results decreased, while fill rate test (multi texturing) and vertex shader test results increased...

weird ey?
