If you look at this link, you will see amd has announced two new socket 939 processors (3000=1.8 512k, 3200=2.0 512k).


Hopefully soon these chips will be in shops and i will finally be able to get me an athlon 64 939 system

Man upgrading to a 939 socket may come sooner than I thought...

I'm still waitin for PCI Express and DDR2 support on socket 939 boards though. I don't want to drop a grand on a upgrade and then have to buy another $200 mobo and a new graphics card 3 months later.

You won't see DDR2 for along time. AMD would need to make a whole new processor because the memory controller is on the cpu and not the chipset. DDR2 isn't worth it anyway.
