Can you explain a bit more ?

Do you mean you have set it to run at Windows Startup and it does (you can it see it in Task Manager) but the icon is not in Notification Area and is this on Windows 7 ?

Ok now I see your picture !

That issue happens only in Windows 7 for many users and its only happens with a few App's and EVGA Precision + AfterBurner are 2 of them !

It happens most time (not every time) when you update an App and only effects some App's !

The fix is when you update an App and the icon goes wrong (no rebuilding cache etc will work) set your Windows "Display Properties" to 16bit colour and reboot, once back in Windows set to 32bit colour again and its fixed till next time.

Both App's also have a habit of loading up fine at startup (check in Task Manager !)but not showing in the Notification Area till you click the icon in the Start Menu and it will then appear in the Notification Area when you minimise it to tray.

    PIA I know but ...

rebuild icon cache (tuneup utilities or win7 manager)

or change icon - pinpoint it to the main msi folder and swap it..

You have some obsession issues !

Right click it > properties > change icon > navigate to the install folder > choose the afterburner exe > done

Repeat !, no Rebuilding Cache will work nor anything else by trying to point it to proper icon using the icons properties !

It is either one of the many Win 7 bugs or a bug is specific App's !

Do what I said above and its fixed in 30seconds (I got the info elsewhere so not taking any glory for it) !

    Yes
Toggling DPI also repairs icons, without rebooting.

How many bugs could a Windows 7 chuck if a Windows 7 could chuck bugs?
