Well, it's a good brand with 5 yr warranty so... I would say yes, sure. The 270x will not ask much of it.
It'll run a 270X without a problem. I'd push for a 280X or something though, coming from that 6870. Especially if you plan on keeping it awhile.
agree^...but then the question is/ Can my 6year old PSU run a 280x board...Thanks Guy's.... Note: airbud lives on a budget...(I'm a penny pincher).....
Should be ok. Or if you want to get something between the 270x and 280x power draw wise, look at 7950. I've seen them dirt cheap.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151095 you could grab this and get the 480 I offered you for $20 shipping, just giving you another option
don't laugh now, but how about this? http://www.scan.co.uk/products/6gb-...ffers344&utm_source=scanshot&utm_medium=email on a more serious note, I went from hd 6870 to gtx 480 and it was a pretty decent upgrade. Worth considering
This is an excellent unit. Same one I have. Both your current PSU and the PSU TK recommended will run either a 270X or a 280X just fine.
yea, airbud should have got that chip :bang: my 6870 is still my bottleneck/not for long though (I hope)
