I don't think it would be better. There are some nasty huge bugs introduced to the game without performance increase, so I'd wait untill the next patch.

This makes no sense, but my problems have gone away...

I have had a ton of bugs. Game crashing to desktop often, certain tress and items blue and purple blobs. Audio cutting out at random etc...

Well, I decided to re-roll last night after the steam patch, and created a new toon. 5 hours later I noticed something... No crashes, no graphics bugs, audio is great etc...

It doesn't make any sense to me, because I saved over my old save-game on my original character too, but that character still has frequent crashes etc...

    WAT?

So how many waterfalls have you gone over? The first three were complete accidents. On my fourth one I found a treasure chest at the bottom with really good loot in it. Now I am taking the aqua HOV lane throughout Skyrim.

    Dragon Riding
How many of you have jumped on the head of a dragon; rode it; to kill it? I have done it twice. Not quite sure how. I like to get in close and personal with my dual maces when I fight my opponents. I always come in from the side and attach the head. The next thing I know I am riding on top. The dragon never left the ground. It just waved its head around as I was on it. I took screen shots but I do not know how to post them.

well the steam workshop seems to be one good thing coming out of having to put up with steam for a sp game.

Though re-reading the whole thing I get the feeling this might not work out that well with steam regulating the choice of mods, I think I'd rather stick with nexus and wrye bash.

Doesn't sound that odd though. Some big mods for Fallout 3/NV and Oblivion recommend you restart the game for a trouble-free experience. Might be that the same is happening with this patch.
Maybe some of the changes break the old saves, but when you start fresh it works fine.

Of course Steam will regulate mods. All mods will have to be tested, and verified of a certain quality.

They're not going to host all the mods that a site like TESNEXUS does. They'll only host the most popular, the most complete.

Yes, bethesda and Valve certainly have the best quaity control. I suppose community bugfixes will also be tested and verified for quality. Thanks but no thanks, valve.

Is there really not some other company that you can bitch about,

instead of the one that supports its games with a free content, modding tools and a patches on a weekly basis?

Like CryTek... they don't update their games weekly.

And when I say bitch, I mean there's nothing to bitch about even for you.. YET

but sure looks like you prepared yourself.
In case Valve strikes and steals all teh mods rofl

So you're an nvidia and valve fanboy? I suppose you're going to pose as Gabe Newell and posts his pics too now? getting bored of trolling the nvidia section and branching out..

    Man you really are hardcore.
you gave your money to Valve when buying the game, but you won't download mods

How about game updates :nerd: , are they allowed in this hardcore world or
you have to wait for community update?

I bought the game retail, it's sitting next to my copies of oblivion and fallout.

    So?

    Valve still got your money.

It's a Steamworks game, they get a percentage.
