I am using the latest Afterburner and running three gtx 980's. They are superclocked and I want t downclock them to default normal clocks.

I have tried setting the Core Clock slider in Aftburner but no matter where I put it the clocks remain the same. Example, I set the slider to minus 10, hit apply, and check the clocks for their highest reading which is the same as before. So, for me, the Core Clock slider does nothing.

No one uses Afterburner to clock their cards? I know there is a simple reason this is not working for me, maybe I have to reboot or is there a setting I need to switch?

this has happened to me when overclocking my cards via afterburner, the memory clock slider will keep resetting, when I apply new speed. only way I resolved the issue was to remove my current driver, and reinstall. And also deleted the config file for MSI afterburner too-
    C:\Program Files (x86)\MSI Afterburner\Profiles

I deleted everything in this folder.
and haven't had the issue since.

10 mhz probably isnt enough to do anything, i think the card uses 13mhz steps so try -50
