I'm waiting for some company to come out with a really cheap four bay NAS server. How expensive can it possibly be?

Happened ages ago, HP Microserver, I have 3, my cheapest was £89, and the most expensive was £140, can take 5 drives easily or 6 if needed.

I was thinking of south of $200.

I mean parts wise, it can't possibly cost anything over ~$100-$150 for such a system.

    Am I missing something?

    £89 = $138
    £140 = $215

So you can get what you want for the price you want (my other server cost in between the two). Two servers are the N36L and one is the N40L.

I just went to HP's website, they said that the Microserver "starts" at $389...
