If you mean by that we wont get proper gaming gear anymore, then perhaps it's time for Game Developers should properly code their games to get everything out of the PC without having to run at 30 fps at max settings.

As long as consoles exist, PC gamers will always be second rate.

The current Intel Haswell "Y" series already lasts longer than the ARM series and is far faster. Unfortunately, it is also far more expensive; that's where Bay Trail comes in.

PC gaming is on a rise but the overall market is declining. Where are my K series CPUs? :3eyes:

I was mostly referring on the overclocking and general CPU fun/experience we get with a unlocked K processors.

I guess someday we will have to embrace the change and the fact that Intel is moving on. It may even turn out for the better. No one knows. We will see.

+1 True. But consoles aren't going anywhere for now. Both consoles(PS3/Xbox360) sold over 150+Million combined since launch.

I wonder how many capable gaming Rigs are out there? And capable lets say a HD 7770/GTX 650ti as a minimum.

Real problem is no effective competition from AMD. For AMD to be considered 'competition', not only would they have to make something better than what Intel produce, but also have an great increase in the number of people buying them.

No source so I don't know if it's fully confirmed but it's interesting enough to post and then we'll see if Intel or other sources can confirm it. :)
