I have no idea if anyone has seen this or mentioned this earlier but, the Guru3d forums and main site are running far faster now then they ever were before. The pages now load almost instantly where as before, it would take up to 5 seconds or more no matter the browser or computer. (All this without ad blocking.)

Actually nothing changed on our end. We do see quite a few slower routes back to the EU through some HUBs.

Your ISP decides which carrier carrier it uses(Level3/Cogent/etc), and for some that's the cheapest one with packet-loss and bad access times. Perhaps your ISP has a better carrier now.

But great to hear things are improving!

I just checked through a Bulgarian VPN, takes roughly 1 second for loads.

Show me a tracer route "tracert www.guru3d.com" sounds like you get packet-loss somewhere.

Also I can really recommend Chrome for that extra bit of performance.

Strongly agree, Chrome is the fastest even when browsing from a phone!

Used to be Firefox, now it's Chrome...

I've never had any issues when it comes to page load times here. Basically instant with Edge.

Thanks. :) I have Time Warner 50/5 at home and Time Warner Business at work which is where most of my internet access is spent on. (Verizon for Cell service but, I am normally on a wireless connection anyways on my phone.) Perhaps they fixed something or something changed between here and there but, it is much better now. :) (Browser type did not matter when it was running slow.)

Forums are 99% of the time super fast, occasionally they will start to hang like mad, but a tracert generally shows a problem with one of the hops, not the forums

I am on chrome, always has been. Something in my ISP changed. My IP
was different a month ago and now my overall speed went from 60
to 90 mbps but only this site got affected and i get an avg of 4 secs load time.

    //edit

huh.. doesn't seem like I'm getting any packet loss o_O
The way the site loads is just weird before it was instant but there were
elements in the site that load after 3-4 secs, now it takes 3-4 secs for the whole
site to just instantly pop up on screen. Like the loading method changed or something

Yeah - nothing changed on our end alright. You should get very fast load times. Does it happen with each page view or at the initial 'first' visit ?

The frontpage only, forums are 1-2 secs, but for the front page it happens
    everytime.

Earlier today could get the main page to load. Forums was an issue; DNS resolving issue. Now the Forums are ok and the main page has the DNS resolving issue. Tech is great; only when it works. At least it is being resolved on the DNS side.

Bad pun but who cares it's Pascha...celebrating with family and friends. Already drooling for the leg of lamb to be done.

Now it is back to being slow again. :( I have Time Warner at home and at work so maybe it is something they are doing?

Indeed. I switched from FireFox to Chome on my work computer (which is a slow piece of hardware) and it really got better.
