Those petitions are pointless. Warner Bros isn't in any way obligated to even acknowledge they exist, much less honor them. As for Nicholson, I'm not a fan....but his portrayal of Joker, at the time, was just as good as Cesar Romero's portrayal of Joker from the 60's. So, not being a Nicholson fan to any extent, I still thought he did a good job. Might even have to throw the DVD in and watch the Keaton/Nicholson release.... Michelle Pfeiffer was the best catwoman though.... Anne Hathaway's "catwoman" just sucked....as did the portrayals from the 60's...
I will never be a fan of Nicholson's Joker, it was awful and far too over the top just like everything else he has ever done. Christian Bale isn't much better unfortunately with the overacting. Affleck would never be my first choice, nor would a non Nolan movie but after the crap that was Dark Knight Rises anything new would struggle to be worse.
yeah. as a director...which doesnt really refute my worrisome point val kilmer was uhh not good, and, well...clooney? ugh. neither of them can act, but even kilmer is less stiff on screen than affleck. thats not encouraging, to say the least anyway yeah batman is the easy part of the role - but how will affleck seem imposing? hes supposed to literally strike terror into street thugs. even if he gained 50lbs of muscle for the role, he would be ~as scary as a doily coaster okay rant over awwwwwwwwwwww yeah

Nicholson's Joker was the best IMO but Ledger did play the part better than I thought he would. And Affleck is only accomplished as a Director not an Actor. And don't mention the Town, he was playing a "tough guy" from Boston...not too big of a stretch for him. I personally would've rather had Jon Hamm as Batman than Affleck he's a far better Actor. I agree though the movie will suck mostly because the plot will likely suck teaming up Superman and Batman. I didn't like Cavill's portrayel of Superman or Kent either though which some did. No one can ever match Christopher Reeve IMO. Stuff like this is why Marvel's movies stomp all over DC's for the most part.
Not gonna lie, this just annoyed me. I would think in recent years he accomplished more than Bruce Lee as well. My opinion is Keaton is a superior performer and actor, afforded less opportunity compared to Affleck so it is not a FAR comment, this is just my opinion of course. I have felt for a good while Keaton is an under used under appreciated actor, that's all.
It only annoys you because it's true. You should really edit out the Bruce Lee bit though as since he is dead that is just a stupid comment. I'm a massive fan of Keaton and even sit through crap like the Herbie remake because he is is it, but his career has not been good recently. I don't believe for a second that Affleck is the best choice, but he might not be that bad especially when all he has to play is Bruce Wayne, Batman is nearly all stuntman/CGI/Post Production anyway.
Theres plenty of worse choices to play batman, now hes older and been around a bit I feel he could pull it off.
So it doesn't matter who plays Iron Man, right?. Might as well be Ashton Kutcher? I support Ben Affleck, let's just wait and see how it goes.
If you referring to the Bale versions, yes i agree. Thought that No.3 was rubbish tbh, other than Bane that is.
I very much agree with the parts in bold Don't get me wrong, I liked Ledger's Joker very much, but just feel Nicholson's was far more true to form. He also nailed Jack Napier with brilliance. Good call on Jon Hamm from Madmen for Batman! I think he would have potential to handle the role well
I agree Hamm would be a great choice he has the size and the chin for it plus his voice would be better than Affleck.
He would not only be a better Batman but he would be far better playing Bruce Wayne as well. Affleck must have a lot of connections with Warner Bros and they want to keep him happy after Argo.
