So I have a geforce gtx 260 core 216 laying around and figured I'd run it as a physix card since I have a mainboard that has dual pci express. So anyway I hook it up, both 6 pin connectors, and windows recognizes it yet my nvidia drivers have disappeared. I try to reinstall 347.09 and half way through I get the error "nvidia installer cannot continue" So to break it down when I add a second card for physix my system doesn't want to recognize either card yet I can still get a 1080p picture on my monitor through the hdmi input
Man this is bullcrap! I went back to driver version 337.50 and still get the same error. I'm gonna take this card out and shoot it.
IcE is right Been there, tried that. total waste of time. just do like you said put on top of fence post and Booom
That driver version no longer supports the GTX 260. You might get it to work by manually adding the GTX 260 to the display.inf file. The same method used to get Quadro driver to run on desktop cards for example.
