When I attempt to get Riva Tuner to detect my card (GeForce4 Ti4600) by downloading the info, then ckick on the proper card, it just ignores it and goes back to the default card. Why?
Be a little more clear. What do you mean by "downloading the info". If the card works correctly without the RT installed, and if you are using correct drivers, then RT should automatically detect your card.
Are you complaining about "default refresh rate" then? If it is so, it might be that this program (Nvidia ref. rate fixer) doesn't support the driver you're currently using, which isn't much of the problem since once you set it manualy, it stays there (85Hz, 100Hz...) until you reinstall/upgrade the driver. What confuse me is your formulation because: 1) Refresh rate is (supposedly) being fixed by that program. 2) A card should be recognized by the driver (detonators etc.) Try to uninstall both and then install only the driver, and tell the forum what's going on.
