380X faster than 290X? Something is not right here.

So, is it Vulkan or just OpenGL?

How is performance abysmal? This game is as smooth as silk, never dropping below 60fps on Ultra Nightmare settings..

Probably one of the best performing games I've ever seen..

It's just OpenGL currently. Id has a Vulkan patch in the works that will be released in a week or two.

Doom is more or less unplayable here with the Fury X. Perf is ok, (what I expect from not having CF yet), but the texture popping and decreasing texture quality when moving away and back to an object is unacceptable. The worst are the squared lines on top of everything. Even at lower res. it stays the same.

Inconsistent performance and that, in it's current state, it's unplayable :(

Disable driver forced 16x AF and that should fix the black squares, IDTech5 has the same "bug" and with Crimson you can just make a separate compatibility profile for the exe and set it's AF to app controlled while keeping 16x or whatever forced for other games. :)

No idea if it'll help with the other stuff though.

Do we have any idea why these results are that different from the beta? Has any site tested the beta and the final at beta-level settings?

Probably because all builds of game available before release had limited set of options or to be more specific options were almost non-existing, in final build are available very high settings.

    Fixed :)

I thought of that before, but in the radeon settings I had already set AF on app pref. But it seems it points to the wrong exe path :D

Applying the right exe in the radsettings and setting AF on app pref. again solved the squared lines :)

A specific cards performance being bad does not make the games performance bad... It just means that the cards performance is bad.

Performance is up across the board compared to beta.

Thanks, that solved that problem although I had to do it globally, the profile for Doom didn't seem to work.

Now just to fix the inconsistent performance... I guess it's another driver update/game update/ or wait for vulkan.
